What's better than a great steak cooked on a charcoal grill? I'll tell you what, a great steak that's been seasoned with McCormick's Grill Mates Montreal Steak & then cooked on a charcoal grill! This is the stuff that got me eating steak. If you haven't tried this, you really should. We love it!
This is all the seasoning that you'll need. Don't add any additional salt or pepper, this has plenty.
Let your steaks rest on the counter & come to room temperature for 20-30 minutes. This is when we light our charcoal chimney. If using a gas grill, heat to high heat. These are NY Strip Steaks, the butcher said that they were 1 1/2" thick, but we think they were really more like 1"
Liberally season your steaks with the Montreal Steak, patting the seasoning into the meat with your fingers. Make sure you do both sides! Grill to your desired wellness. Take the steaks off the grill & immediately cover with ten foil. Let them rest for 7-10 minutes to seal in the juices before cutting into them.
Serve with my Salt Crusted, Twice Cooked Potatoes & a salad. Enjoy!
